Travel Information
UND Policies
With student safety in mind, the University of North Dakota has established various policies associated with student travel. It is important that students and organization advisors become familiar with the various policies and that they educate other students regarding the policies associated with student travel.
Prior to travel, the Domestic/International Travel – Student Trip Form should be completed and returned to the UND Campus Safety and Environmental Health Department. Instructions for completing the form are available at here.
If your travel involves the use of a North Dakota State Fleet Vehicle (UND Transportation Department) you will be expected to follow the ND State Fleet Policies.
In addition, the UND Campus Safety and Environmental Health Department includes information and policies regarding vehicle use in the On-line Safety and Loss Control Manual.
While travel may take students to destinations out of the city, state, or country, it is important to remember that students are expected to follow the policies outlined in the Code of Student Life both on and off campus.
Students are advised to pay particular attention to the following sections of the Code of Student Life:
2-3 Prohibited Acts
4-8 Student Organization / Und Student Government Travel Policy / Use Of State Fleet Vehicle
